SEOGrove ("we", "us", or "our") runs seogrove.io. This page covers what data we collect, why, and how it's used. Questions? Email info@seogrove.io.

What We Collect

Account data — your email address. We use it to send you a magic link to sign in.
Site data — URLs and content you add to SEOGrove so we can generate and manage your SEO content.
Google Search Console data — if you connect GSC, we get read-only access to your search query and performance data. We use it for keyword and content recommendations, and only keep what's needed to do that.
Usage data — standard server logs: pages visited, actions taken, performance metrics.
Email engagement — our email provider records delivery, reported opens and link clicks for emails we send, including automated and support emails. HTML emails use a small tracking image and tracked links. We use these signals to understand whether our messages reach customers and are useful. Image blocking, privacy services and security scanners can affect these signals.
Payment data — processed by Stripe or Shopify, depending on how you subscribed. We store billing identifiers, plan and subscription status to manage your access. We never see or store your card details.

How We Use Your Data

To run SEOGrove: content generation, citation monitoring, keyword research.
To send transactional emails — magic links and billing receipts.
To improve the product.
To meet legal obligations.

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't share it with anyone outside what's described below.

Third-Party Services

MiniMax / OpenAI — your site content and queries are sent to AI providers to generate SEO content, processed under their own privacy policies.
Google — the GSC integration uses Google's OAuth and Search Console API, covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
Stripe — handles payment processing, covered by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Shopify — if you connect a store, receives the blog content you approve for publishing and provides store, blog and article information needed to manage that connection. For Shopify-billed accounts, it also provides subscription information used to verify your plan and access.
Resend — sends our emails and records delivery, reported opens and link clicks.

Google User Data

SEOGrove's use of data received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access to your site's search performance data. We use this data solely to provide keyword insights and content recommendations within SEOGrove. We do not transfer this data to third parties except as necessary to operate the service. We do not use this data for advertising or to train AI models.

Shopify Data

Connecting Shopify lets SEOGrove read and manage blog content using Shopify's write_content permission. We store your permanent store address, selected blog, author name, connection settings and the Shopify article IDs and URLs needed to update published articles. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. This integration does not request Shopify customer or order data. If you connect through a store-specific custom app, SEOGrove also uses read_products to store your active products' names, storefront URLs, product types, vendors, tags and short descriptions, so articles can link to them accurately. Before you sign in to Grove, we may hold the authorized store connection temporarily so you can finish linking it. Unclaimed setup expires after 30 minutes and is removed by a scheduled daily cleanup.

For Shopify-billed accounts, we store your billing store ID and domain, plan, subscription dates, cancellation status and the time we last verified your subscription. For existing externally paid customers, we retain payment identifiers and verification dates needed to recognize their existing subscription without starting a second one.

When you approve publishing, we send Shopify the article title, body, summary, author, SEO fields and any featured-image URL and description. Shopify may retrieve images from their public URLs. Site content used to create article drafts is processed by the AI providers described above. Google Search Console is a separate, optional connection.

Uninstalling the app disables its Grove connection and clears its stored access and refresh tokens when Shopify's uninstall notification arrives. Shopify's store-deletion notification removes disconnected Shopify integration records and clears the billing store identifiers for a canceled Shopify subscription. It does not delete your Grove account, its content drafts or previously published articles on Shopify. Removing a connection in Grove also leaves articles already published on Shopify in place.

Manage or delete published content in Shopify. To request access, correction or deletion of Shopify-related data held by Grove, email info@seogrove.io. You can also request deletion of your Grove account from account settings.

Data Retention

We keep your account and content data while your account is active. You can request account deletion from account settings. If work is still running or needs reconciliation, deletion may be blocked until it is resolved; contact us for help. Account deletion removes Grove account records and content. It does not remove content already published to an external CMS.

Security

All data travels over HTTPS. Credentials and tokens are encrypted at rest.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. For other requests — accessing or correcting your data — email info@seogrove.io. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

One session cookie, used to keep you logged in. No tracking cookies, no ad cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this page if anything changes, and email you about anything significant. The date at the top shows when we last made changes.
